FAQ

The questions worth asking a copy trader.

Including the ones with answers we would rather not have to give.

Your money

Where do my funds go?

Nowhere. They stay in your own Hyperliquid account, under your own wallet, the entire time. You never deposit anything with us and there is no balance of ours holding your money.

Can you withdraw my funds?

We cannot withdraw your funds. We trade your account through a Hyperliquid agent key, and the venue does not let an agent key withdraw or transfer. It is not a policy of ours that could change — it is what that kind of key is allowed to sign.

So there is no way you can cost me money?

There is, and you should hear it plainly: an agent key can trade your account, and trading it badly can lose you money — in principle all of it. That is inherent to anything that can place an order on your behalf.

What the key cannot do is take the funds somewhere else. If a copy service tells you it cannot touch your money at all, it is describing something that would not be able to trade.

How do I stop it?

You revoke the agent key on Hyperliquid directly. It does not go through us, does not need our permission, and does not depend on our service being up. Existing positions stay yours to manage or close as you like.

What happens to my positions if your side goes down?

They stay open. Nothing closes them automatically, and nobody can move them. What you lose is the copying: your account stops tracking the trader until we are back, and if they exit a position in that window you will still be holding it.

That is the honest risk of the model, and it is why the engine runs redundant connections rather than a single one. It is not why you should assume it can never happen.

The copying

How are my position sizes decided?

As a fraction of your own equity, not a fraction of theirs. If the trader has 30% of their account in a long, you end up with 30% of yours — which is what makes it work between accounts of very different sizes. One setting scales that up or down if you want to follow harder or lighter than they trade.

Will my fills match theirs exactly?

No. We react to a trade that has already happened, so your price is a little different from theirs, and sometimes the gap is not little. Rather than average that away, the dashboard puts your fill next to theirs so you can see the difference on each one.

Why did a trade not get copied?

Usually because it would have been under Hyperliquid's $10 minimum order size once scaled to your account — the smaller your deposit, the more often that happens. It can also be a coin you blocked.

Either way you get a line saying which trade and why. A skipped order you never hear about is the failure mode that makes people distrust copy trading, and silence is the easiest thing in the world for us to ship.

Why would you refuse to let me follow someone?

Because at your deposit size almost nothing they do would reach your account. A trader whose individual positions are small relative to their own equity scales down below the $10 floor at your size, and what you would experience is paying for a dashboard that never does anything.

We measure that before you approve anything. When the answer is that bad, we block the pairing rather than offer you a box to tick — the same trader may well be fine at a larger deposit, and we will say so.

Can I follow more than one trader?

Not right now — one account follows one trader. Running several at once is a different product and we would rather do this one properly first.

Which trader should I follow?

That is your call, and we are careful not to make it for you. We do not rank traders, we do not recommend anyone, and nothing here is advice. What we will tell you is whether the one you picked can be copied at your size and what our fee would cost you behind them.

A trader's past results are not a forecast of what happens after you start following them.

The fee

What does it cost?

1 bp on the trades we place for you, paid to us by Hyperliquid out of each order. No subscription, no monthly fee, no share of your profits, and nothing billed to you directly.

What that adds up to per year depends entirely on how much your trader trades — see pricing, where you can move a slider and watch the same rate turn into very different annual costs.

Do I pay less with a bigger deposit?

You pay more dollars and the same percentage. Our cost to you is driven by trading volume, which scales with your account, so the share of your equity it takes does not shrink as you grow.

Can you raise the fee once I'm set up?

Not on your account, no — and this one is worth understanding, because it is a mechanism rather than a promise. Hyperliquid requires the builder-fee approval to be signed by your own wallet, and it will not accept that signature from an agent key. The key we hold is an agent key. We are not able to produce the signature that would raise your rate.

So the ceiling you approve during setup is the ceiling until you personally sign a new one. For the record, the venue's hard maximum for a perp builder fee is 10 bps and we charge 1 — but the reason to believe us is the signature we cannot forge, not the number we picked.

Is there a minimum?

No. What there is instead is a shortlist that changes with your balance. Every trader has a size below which their moves stop reaching you — Hyperliquid rejects orders under $10, so once your copy is scaled down, the smaller ones simply do not get placed. We measure that size per trader and only show you the ones your account can actually follow. Our lowest tier starts at $250 and the tiers run to $50,000.

A single deposit minimum cannot do this job. The account needed to follow 95%of a trader's moves varies between them by more than an order of magnitude, so any one number is simultaneously too high for most traders and far too low for the rest. That is why the tiers exist and why the number you see is attached to a trader rather than to our front door.

You can also just name a trader yourself and we will measure that pairing before you sign anything, whatever your balance. The shortlist is us being careful about what we recommend, not a door.

Practical

Do I have to leave a browser tab open?

No. The copying is designed to run on our infrastructure, not in your browser — closing the page, sleeping your laptop and losing your internet connection are all meant to be irrelevant to it.

Can I sign in with a Safe or another smart-contract wallet?

No, and it would not help if you could: Hyperliquid's agent approval needs a regular wallet too, so such an account cannot complete the setup at all. You will get a message saying that rather than a confusing signature error.

How fast is it?

0.7seconds from the trader's fill to yours, timed by us on a single account with nothing else on the machine. That is the whole reason to pay for this instead of watching someone post their trades in a Telegram channel, so it is the number we refused to put on this site until we had measured it rather than repeated it.

The conditions matter and we would rather you had them: it was one account on a dedicated machine. Copy latency depends on how much company your account keeps, because accounts share a connection to the venue and a busy one means queueing. So it is what the engine does with room to breathe, not a floor we promise under any load — and we are not quoting it as a service guarantee.

You do not have to take it on trust either way. Your dashboard times every fill against the trader's, one row at a time.

How fast is everyone else?

We do not know, and we are not going to put a number on a competitor we have not timed. The figure usually passed around for the Telegram copy bots is a few seconds, but that is hearsay to us and repeating it to make ourselves look good would be the same mistake as quoting our own speed before we measured it.

Is this live?

No. This is a prototype. The trader data you can browse is real and pulled from Hyperliquid, and the check that prices a trader against your deposit genuinely runs. Nothing trades for a customer yet: there is no engine behind this site, the last two approval steps are stubs, and the figures shown for your own side of the dashboard are generated to demonstrate the layout.

You will not find a performance record or a returns figure anywhere here, because no customer account has ever run. The latency figure is the one number we have measured, and it is ours.

Something not answered here?

The setup flow is walkable end to end without approving anything, and the trader check is live — pointing it at a real address is the fastest way to see what this would actually do for you.
